Listd is operated by Prairie Nomad Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Listd mobile application ("App"). We are committed to complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy laws.

By using Listd, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Profile information: Your phone number and profile photo if you choose to provide them.
• Listing information: Property addresses, descriptions, photos, videos, and pricing information you submit when creating a listing.
• Location data: Your approximate location to show nearby listings. We use your device's GPS only when you grant permission.
• Payment information: We process payments through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
• Communications: Messages you send to other users through the in-app messaging system.
• Usage data: Information about how you use the App, including listings you view, save, or inquire about.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for sending you alerts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display your listings to potential buyers
• Facilitate communication between buyers and sellers
• Process payments for listing fees
• Send transactional emails (listing confirmations, offer notifications, password resets)
• Send push notifications about your listings, offers, and messages
• Improve and maintain the App
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication (United States)
• Stripe — payment processing (United States)
• Cloudflare — video and image hosting (United States)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (United States)
• Google — address geocoding and location search (United States)

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.

Other users: When you create a listing, your first name, last name, and phone number (if provided) are visible to buyers who contact you. Your exact property address is shared only after a buyer initiates contact for urban properties. Rural, acreage, and land listings display only an approximate location to protect your privacy.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:

• Your account and personal information are permanently deleted within 24 hours
• Your listings are removed from the App
• Messages and offer history are deleted
• Some information may be retained in backup systems for a short period before being overwritten

6. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Withdraw consent to certain uses of your information
• Delete your account and associated data

7. Children's Privacy

Listd is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the App or sending you an email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
